The application of nano porous silicon nitride membranes in DNA sequencing technology has many advantages such as no calibration, no amplification, low dose usage, long sequence readability, low cost and high throughput detection of single molecules, etc. Therefore, it is considered to be the most competitive technology to achieve the fourth generation of rapid direct reading DNA molecular sequencing. The basic test principle is that long-stranded DNA molecules in solution are driven by electric field through the nano pores on the silicon nitride membrane. Due to the blocking effect of nano pores, the ion current will drop instantly, the biological characteristics of the size and configuration of the perforated molecules can be obtained by analyzing the current drop. This is of great significance for the study of human genetic etiology, personalized medicine and many other fields.
